THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH ALABAMA AND PORTIONS OF
SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...
A STRONG STORM SYSTEM OVER OKLAHOMA WILL TRACK EAST TONIGHT.
ONGOING THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS
WILL PUSH EAST ACROSS THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER OVERNIGHT...ARRIVING IN
NORTHWEST ALABAMA AFTER 4 AM. THESE STORMS WILL LIKELY REMAIN WEST
OF INTERSTATE 65 THROUGH SUNRISE. A FEW OF THE STORMS MAY BE
STRONG...PRODUCING SMALL HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...
AS THE STORM SYSTEM CONTINUES TRACKING EAST...THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
ONGOING DURING THE MORNING HOURS. THE PRIMARY THREATS WITH THESE
WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.
A SECOND ROUND OF ORGANIZED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME POSSIBLY
SEVERE...WILL OCCUR ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT.
THE MAIN THREATS WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS AND
LARGE HAIL. AN ISOLATED TORNADO THREAT REMAINS POSSIBLE IF
SUFFICIENT INSTABILITY CAN RECOVER AFTER THE MORNING THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY. THE SEVERE THREAT WILL TAPER FROM WEST TO EAST THROUGH
EARLY EVENING AS THE FRONTAL SYSTEM MOVES BY.
ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM OVER THE WEEKEND MAY BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF
THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. WHILE THERE IS STILL SOME
UNCERTAINTY REGARDING THE TRACK AND TIMING OF THIS SYSTEM...THE
POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR ADDITIONAL SEVERE WEATHER.

ACTIVATION OF STORM SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL IS
LIKELY THURSDAY AND ARE ALSO ENCOURAGED TO MONITOR FORECASTS FOR THE
WEEKEND.
