Today was a big weather day (my Mom always called severe weather days this on my behalf) for my good friend known as Dewdrop from South Georgia. I know of no one who deserved it more. My only regret is that she had to miss the golf ball sized hail.
Dewdrop wants to see hail and a tornado. But she will quickly tell you that she doesn't want it to happen if it threatens anyone. Her main barriers are that she is a very good Mom and a responsible employee. Those things, among others, make it tough on her to see the severe weather that fascinates her so much. Not to mention that she lives in an area that is not ideal for severe weather.
Today was a bit of an exception, and I was so happy for her to see a wall cloud, cloud to ground lightning, and a classic supercell. If there is a reader out there who is willing to put up the money to pay for a Plains chase, I can think of no one who deserves the chance more than Dewdrop! Well, I might want to be considered too!

Wow. That's a very good thing to hear. I'm reading Dew's blog often and I can see that she really want to go for that chase.. :) Thanks for that info...
Mike, I am touched! Thank you so much for your very thoughtful shout out (and "grant request"--so sweet). You have been amazingly supportive. Mike, you were INSTRUMENTAL in my seeing that wall cloud yesterday. Thank you so much for your support and most of all, your friendship.
You are very welcome and you have been equally supportive of me and I appreciate that very much. You just deserved that opportunity so much!
Ice, you are welcome, and I, like you, enjoy reading her blog very much.
