Storm total rain estimate from Birmingham Nexrad
Alabama received beneficial rain last night as a squall line followed by a large area of moderate rain passed through the state. The three year long drought was officially over a few weeks ago, but last night's rain will hopefully help bury it further into history.
Here are a few NWS official rainfall totals from North and Central Alabama as of 11 a.m. from the MesoWest site.

Glad to see you guys got some of the wet stuff..We still have ditches and rivers full down here..
