Frankly, the moderate risk issued by the SPC for each of the last two days ended up being a bust. Yes, there have been some tornado reports, but they were not in the predicted area and they were not as numerous or as strong as expected. I am sure that residents of the Plains and Midsouth were thankful.
Does that mean we in Alabama should let our guard down? No! Parameters are not coming together for a major tornado outbreak. As we have said all week, though, damaging straight line winds and a few isolated tornadoes are still possible.
