Tonight at 8:oo Noel was upgraded to a 75 mph hurricane. It was up to 80 mph on the 11 p.m. advisory. Little change in strength is forecast over the next 24 hours. After that it will evolve into a powerful extratropical low. The good news is that it is forecast to miss the United States and remain over the Atlantic.

Mike,
I was just surfing the web and came across your blog. You have lots of great/fresh weather content! Thanks for the link to our station weather blog. If you are in t-town during the week, maybe before a game, feel free to contact me and I will be glad to give you a tour of our operation.
Take Care and keep up the good work,
Wes Wyatt WVUA-TV
Hi Wes, Thanks for the kind words! We receive your broadcast way up in my neck of the woods through DirectTV. I enjoy your weather broadcasts and I saved and watched your coverage of the homecoming parade. You and Lynn did a great job.
We are Tide Pride members and get down there for all of the games. My oldest son and I will be down tomorow for the LSU game. I'd love to visit your station sometime.
